Hi guys!
I've just recently performed a clean install on my machine (Windows 10 Home).
Prior to this, I am running openkore smoothly and fast. It responded greatly in command prompt
whenever it is doing something be it attacking, looting, skill use, etc..
The problem now is, it's barely responding to its environment. The start-up loading of files is slow, it will take seconds to skill, attack etc. and whenever it will encounter monster in group and use an AOE skill, the inputs received will overwhelm openkore console(cmd prompt) that will cause it to hang and disconnect.
What I have tried, is installing the latest clean copy of openkore and running all things in default, but to no avail. Running it as admin even, putting the file in SSD drive, and disabling Windows Defender. Still, the problem persist.
Has anyone experience this? Is another program hampering openkore? What is the cause of this?
Thank you all for your time and help.
*edit: I have also tried running other codes in my CMD prompt and it is fast executing it, unlike to what I said which I can read what file is loaded up in between lines.

Cause : Win10? All I know Win10 eat your PC.
if you are using .pl execute in terminal powershell
i have the same problem here wxstart work well and openkore.pl in terminal powershell work well
@fadreus I'm afraid it's not an issue with the OS, cause it the previous OS was also a windows 10. Just needed to perform a clean install due to migration to SSD. I am also familiar with those config and use them properly.
@alisonrag I'll try to run it with the terminal powershell and post a feedback right after.
Thank you all :)
@alisonrag I tried and it just fell into loop of unending start and close of window pop up. Would you mind sharing the steps on how you do it with start.exe, openkore.pl?
Odd thing is, the wxstart is functioning at the speed I'm expecting it to be(the usual and normal). Though it's too fancy for my taste, but will have to do for now.
Powershell (assuming powershell is in the correct directory):
perl .\openkore.pl
@lututui I see. I'm gonna try it. Thank you.
edit: Have tried it. It's working at normal speed(fast).
Though, I'm still intrigued in why start.exe behaved slowly when run normally on my PC.
Is some problem with w10
about one year and no solution 馃憥 we should make a new binary for get properly work on windows 10.
Not on all computers have this problem
You say it like it's an easy thing. Do you have a ActiveState Perl Dev Kit license to spare? Because I don't
I just bought a new computer and got this. :(
But its ok. my comment is reference if there is the source code to compile the binaries on visual basics or something like that
We are not able to recompile, because to build start and wxstart perlapp is required and no one here have the license
Reinstalled windows yesterday and got exact same problem. Any fix around?
https://www.activestate.com/products/activeperl/
The trial version doesnt work or you need an specific license to have a feature?
perlapp need license to use, and we can't find nothing in internet
