Hi @femust , can you compile open3d in Debug mode to get more information?
Yes, I saw your previous post and I compiled in debug mode as well, BUT I had the same information, so successfully loaded, but when visualizing seg fault
@benjaminum funny enough is that the visualization works when I use python (installed via pip install ), but when I use cpp then seg fault

@femust Can you check if you have compiled open3d in Debug mode (can be enabled during configure with cmake .. -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug)

The glxinfo seems fine. I don't see how glEnable(GL_DEPTH_TEST) can cause this problem. It is also weird that visualization works for you from python. So I wonder if there is a difference in the libraries loaded. Can you do ldd on the binary and on the open3d python module just to be sure? You can get the location of the python module with

With this open3d.pybind, I get that:
AttributeError: module 'open3d' has no attribute 'pybind'
maybe because I installed from pip? But honestly, I tried to install with pybind right now and I get the same error (with python3 ofc)

No, the python file itself does not link anything. The C modules imported in the python file will load libraries. open3d_pybind.cpython-36m-x86_64-linux-gnu.so is such a C module.

The paths to the GL libs are the same for the binary and the C module, which means there isn't a problem with using different OpenGL implementations.
However, the binary links libOpenGL.so and libGL.so while the C module just links libGL.so. I am not sure if it is OK to link both as they probably implement almost the same functions. I have to do some research on this.
Hmm I tried also rename libOpenGL as libOpenGL.bak because I thought that maybe the things from libGL.so will be enough, but then during compilation, I have a linking problem, that the lib hasn't been found etc.

So linking libOpenGL.so and libGL.so really seems to be the culprit here. I asked a colleague for help on this problem. Meanwhile, can you give the cmake version you are using?
