Note: these are not necessarily requirements
OPL 0.9.3 (VMC+GSM+PS2RD), OPL r1193 and a few DBs.
USB, SMB and SATA-HDD
See above.
Not sure if these are two different problems, but I'll report them as one.
When playing Phantasy Star generation:1 the party graphics will sometime glitch or get corrupted after a battle.
USB: Haven't been able to get this issue with USB.
SMB: After every battle the party graphics glitches.

The textures are from the battle screen.

SATA-HDD:
UDMA 0-4: If the game doesn't glitch after the first few battles it can take hours. But it does happen eventually.
MDMA 0-2/MODE 1: The party graphics gets corrupt within a few battles every time.

The game should load the proper graphics for the party.
Depending on how it is loaded and with what options the graphics is corrupted/glitched.
Depending on how it is loaded and with what options it either happens within a few battles or after extended play.
If not within a few battles, fastest to just reload the game.
@zappepappe, thank you for your report, i suggest that you post this report in this
thread of psx-place where we put the game bugs:
http://www.psx-place.com/threads/open-ps2-loader-game-bug-reports.19401/
Best regards.
Ok, figured it would be just as good here as I already had an account and development is done here.
But I will make an account and post it there.
Is the report good as it is or should I complement it?
I think is good enough, if they need something more they ask you, also you can
take an example in the last page of the thread about other reports, thank you.
Best regards.
Since USB seem to work I did some testing where I lowered the read speed of Mode 1. Going bellow 1000kB/s seems to fix the issue on HDD and SMB.
I'll upload a bunch of different read speeds for others to test as well.
I suppose this still happens on the newest build(s)?
From I remember there was no specific patch for this game like with Shadow Man: 2econd Coming,
so currently only lowering transfer should help.
SMB still reliably glitches. HDD is a bit more tedious to test, but I'll report back if anything have changed.

I hope my scph 50001 isnt faulty
Happens over smb and hdd
Theoretically this problem is only present on your FAT (SCPH-50001) console,
while on Slim 90010 everything seems to be fine:
