Omim: Add custom tags to editor

Currently the editor is the best mobile editing experience to add POIs. I'm using it everyday on my Android phone. However I miss the option to add custom tags not supported by the presets. Of course this is advanced, could be hidden on a setting, but it'd be great to have this option.

In the end, it would probably enough for regular users, if the list of possible feature types would be extended with the stuff from http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Map_Features , and some kind of search/filtering-by-search would be added (similar to iD).

Another nice extension would be, if the icon used for rendering would be displayed alongside (even the current) tags.

I totally agree with @nighto, and wanted to open exactly the same ticket.
It's frustrating to go to another app or even Josm to add a POI that is not listed and requires manual editing for less common tags. Its happens to me almost every days. So I've to open Vespucci; witch is a little "overkill" for just a POI add.
This options should be little on the screen, as is it for "advanced" users and do not have to disturb regular contributer.

oh, please do so. you'll also get less ranting from me about missing presets if i can add things manually :)
i don't think it even should be hidden that much - make it an expandable section at the very bottom, similar to iD and have taginfo based autocomplete there. to be on the safer side, make it sound dangerous - "Advanced options for the initiated" or something :)

Totally agree on this. an option like in ID editor / OsmAnd would be nice. Maybe let the user tick a box or something in the settings for extra security
