Official-images: Cannot install gcc on ubuntu:latest

I ran ubuntu container in this way:

docker run -ti ubuntu /bin/bash

But when I tried to install gcc:

root@9d1fa99365ee:~# apt-get install gcc

Previously, I did. But for some reason, running it a second time fixed the problem.

I met the same problem. My reason is that I didn't put the "trusty-updates" part of source list mirror.

It has problem when I used:

RUN echo "deb http://cn.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty main universe multiverse restricted" > /etc/apt/sources.list

And it is solved when:

RUN echo "deb http://cn.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty main universe multiverse restricted" > /etc/apt/sources.list
