This is actually by design. The icons in Add-in commands are not rendered with Fabric and deliberately use a different palette from the Fabric shared colors palette. I've added a note about this to the article and it should be published next Tuesday evening Pacific (USA) time zone. See PR 799
Why are they different?
@DragoCubed The icons in Add-in Commands have to conform to the color scheme of the Office host application, which is an older design paradigm from Fabric.
