Regarding your feature request, do you mean a uniform color change like CMD or like a code editor?

Not like visual studio code where everything is a different color depending on the file type. I guess cmd if we're on the same page. So the text could be like a uniform green for example

I would actually like to request the same things as the original poster; however differing from his clarification above - To be able to change the font color for individual words/letters/lines. Also perhaps a highlighting feature like the one in the markdown screenshots on the front page - but just as a basic notepad feature. I use notepad mostly as a note taking, organizing feature for a project or brainstorming. The addition of font color and highlighting would greatly increase its use for separating titles, subsections, etc.. when scrolling down page after page.

You are asking for the RichEdit feature here and this is out of the scope of what Notepads is intended to be. Notepads is a plain text editor.
