@benhalverson from today's comm-comm, the newsletter is not currently running… we're not sure how we will repurpose this.

Likely we want to turn it off this UI feature for now.

@designMoreWeb This was discussed with @rromoff in today's @nodejs/community-committee meeting. As it stands, the newsletter has not been going out since December, and we have no immediate plans on that front. So until we figure out if or how we want to setup or repurpose this feature, we want to simply punt it.

I think imho, merging the PR it but removing it from the layout is fair to not waste the effort, especially since we expect it to be used at some point.

@SMotaal Okay got it thanks so much for explaining this. I also apologise that was not able to attend the meeting today. i had it on my calendar but i got pulled into a work meeting.

@designMoreWeb no worries… this is open source, everyone will be busy some of the time.

Also note that @nodejs/community-committee meetings alternate weeks for that same time slot with @nodejs/website-redesign, and those are where we really get into our ops and decision making.
