Nodebb: Can't upload gif to posts

Running 1.0.3 and allowed gif extension in admin but I'm still not able to upload them to posts. Error nessage: unsupported mime type image/gif
Any advice?

NodeBB does not natively support GIF. You'll need to use a third party image host plugin such as imgur if you want GIF support.
