I've found myself with some extra time working from home these days (with a smaller workload than usual) and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm using it as an opportunity to clean up my home automation setup which is going great.
I've just gone through and flagged several issues to be closed that I think are solved.
Since I've been the one to push documentation I'll probably spend a few days going through the wiki pages (cleaned up roadmap today!). There's a lot of clean up to do now that 1.0.x is released. I may even redo all of the examples to be from the new version.
Documentation!! Please make requests below if you'd like more or updated examples!!
Current dev is 1.1 which focuses on getting NO_RESPONSE fixed. See #238 and #185 for discussion on that.
There's a pull request #236 open for changing how UUIDs are created (I think this is focused on working in subflows?).
As far as I can remember, the next feature requests are fixing NO_RESPONSE, support for custom characteristics, characteristics gui, working better in subflows, and support for environmental variables #217.
I know @Shaquu is busy with school these days but version 1.0.x seems to be going very well, I haven't seen many new issues from the changes made. @NRCHKB/test, @NRCHKB/documentation - let's use this as a place to discuss how things are going and where we can go from here. Mostly I'd like to focus my coming documentation efforts where they'll be most appreciated.
Going forward these looks like the plan for close future:
Also you could notice that homebridge team took over HAP-NodeJS and we can see more movement there so it will help us as well to move our stuff as their are reacting to bug issues.
Also HomeKitADK is progressing so it looks like we can improve HAP-NodeJS code with clear mind of not breaking any rules. Hope it stays that way.
