Nixpkgs: Plasma5 quick launch Alt-F2 shortcut stopped working

Issue description

Pressing Alt-F2 is supposed to bring up Plasma5 quick launch. xev shows that Alt and F2 are working properly.

I noticed something like this after updating, and it appears that it was an issue with the plasma settings, and resetting the Alt-F2 binding to KRunner fixed it.

So, when is it not working? After some time? Before you logout, could you verify that krunner is still running?

If you have time and want to test Plasma 5.13, you could use my pr: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/40893
Maybe your problem is gone with the new Plasma version.

Sometimes krunner crashes and I need to start it manually for Alt+F2 to work.

In that case the most likely cause is that krunner occasionally crashes. I don't mind to run krunner with full debugging symbols all the time, but I don't have time to figure out how.

suffering from this bug too. Started right after upgrading from 19.10 to 20.04. And still not working.

Was a shortcut collision with application run command for me. @michaelpj's hint was golden.
