Ngx-extended-pdf-viewer: Internet Download Manager gets in the way, causing Chrome to download the PDF file despite of showing it

I have checked the live demo example: https://atapuerca.de/simple.
It always downloads the pdf file and pdf viewer shows an error "Invalid or corrupted PDF file".

My version of chrome is: 74.0.3729.169

I've got the same version of Google Chrome. I've tried my demo on Windows and on my MacBook. Most of the time it works flawlessly. Sometimes I see the message "corrupted PDF file" in the toolbar of the PDF viewer.

Until now, I always shrugged it off and just reloaded the page. It seems to work flawlessly, except for rare exceptions when trying it for the first time.

So I've got two questions:

• Can you send me a screenshot of the UI when the error occurs, please?
• Can you check if the error vanishes after trying again?

Just another question: how fast is your network? I've noticed my demo reliably fails on 3G connections. The limit seems to be between 100 and 200 Kbit/s.

Ahhh Man. I have tried to implement the PDF viewer for my site and have failed after trying many of them including all of the famous PDF viewers like PDF.JS etc. The viewer always downloads the file despite showing it.

Now, I have solved the problem by just turning off the "Internet Download Manager" chrome extension. It is working flawlessly.

Is any trick to avoid this situation in your mind...???

That's really an unexpected explanation. I have to admit I read the keyword "download", but I dismissed it and looked for other ways to reproduce the error. It's interesting I did find something :)

I don't think that's anything I can solve on the JavaScript side. However, you can customize the Internet Download Manager. How a look at these two options, maybe one of them helps:
