Ok, I made the fix! Like I said I'm new at this so just let me know if I did anything wrong, I'm expecting it :)

+1 for this
I always catch myself long pressing the title thinking I can copy it.

I'm using two three APKs to handle the missing copy title/URL feature (not solved completely).

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/se.johanhil.clipboard
Copy to Clipboard which is only for copying the URL.

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.tengu.sharetoclipboard
Share To Clipboard
which I've config to also copy title in addition to the URL and is useful for pasting to youtube description box (reference).

having two apks means I won't have to reconfigure the second one to add/remove title to the copy result when I more commonly needs the URL alone.

you still need to edit the title out of the text just to get the title itself (if you know alternative please put here!)

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.k3b.android.intentintercept/
is somewhat of an alternative since it can help you show parts in a textarea-element where you can more easily mark the part you need and copy just it.

sadly all of those solutions take an extra 3-5 clicks which is absolutely $ha!t.

I've got and older reply (here) that it is out of their scope right now (not even considering it for now)..

although copy title/copy url couldn't be more natural feature to have.

(along with open in YouTube, for example, https://github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipe/issues/3735).

I agree it can be cool but we need to ensure that

  • the link can be shared to NewPipe and handled (it should be ok because I think it searches for the first link in the string).
  • it's not by default and available in settings, because some apps don't pick the first link in the string, _they expect to have one link only_, and we should not break that.

@B0pol Are we talking about the same thing here? @ryota-hasegawa just wants to be able to long press the title of the video and copy it to the clipboard.

Wow why are you downvoting? Yeah I haven't understand, I thought you wanted title when you share plus the video link.

Afaik the fastest workaround now is to click on Download, long press on the title and click on copy.

Seems like a pretty good workaround, however, being able to long press on the title is much more intuitive, and hopefully is something that can be implemented soon.

Also, just to be clear, I wasn't the one who downvoted you.

Could I work on this? I'm a beginner but I'd like to help out if I can.

can i add to this, i would love to copy link to a video and not necesarily "share" intent with an app first. right now i end up sharing a video to firefox focus where i copy the url. I would say either a button to share link or a share intent to copy url, like there is with many apps

You can share to clipboard in the share menu.
Some devices don't have it, I suggest you to install Share to clipboard on F-Droid.
