We want to be google independent, and send as less data to them as possible. So login is not in our scope unless its not avoidable in order to use a service.

I also would like to log in to YT. So you can access (play/save) your playlists, history, access comments and mush more. Why not leave the choice to the end user?! Specially when you want to use multiple devices a local only history/playlist is not nice馃檮
But I really love the floating and background playback of newspipe. This I have not seen some where else.
I know it gives some extra work, but maybe somebody else will provide some extra lines of code?!
