Neon-wallet: Wallet does not show assets.

After restarting the wallet app, it shows 0 balance even though the blockchain/ledger shows the exact amount there should be. It is also synced.

@martythekid this is because NEO can be only transact in integers, your 0.9 NEO never leaved bittrex, that is not related to neon.

using mainnet?

Hi, there!

First of all great job guy's, the wallet looks fantastic.
But I'm running into a little problem now. Yesterday I transferred my NEO coins from app.antshares.org to the NEON wallet and after updating to version 3 I'm was seeing my coins and als got to claim GAS.

But today, running on mainnet and the blockcount is updated, my NEO and GAS amount says 0. The only value that's updated is de value in the "Claim GAS" button. but when I click this I receive a "Transaction failed" message. (See screenshot below)

So to summarise, there are 2 issues at hand:

  1. Coins show zero as an amount.
  2. I can't claim any GAS

Am I doing something wrong?
Cheers,
Claudio

@raulcug08 @cpascariello The Bittrex API change today broke Neon. Fix here! https://github.com/CityOfZion/neon-wallet/releases/tag/0.0.3c

We've made the code more robust so that if the price API breaks in the future this will not affect any core functionality.

Leaving open for now so that others can see this

Perfect! Thanks for your work on this man, it's coming along great :)

Hey! First, thanks for making this app. Simple and easy to use.

I am running version 3, and I just ran a test withdraw to my wallet which is on MainNet. The total withdraw was 1.9 NEO after bittrex fees, yet only 1 NEO is showing up in my wallet. I've refreshed and restarted and it is still only showing 1 NEO. Any idea what could be happening?

Ah .. that explains I don't see my neon

@martythekid this is because NEO can be only transact in integers, your 0.9 NEO never leaved bittrex, that is not related to neon.

It is unfortunate that Bittrex allows you to buy/sell fractions of NEO that you can't withdraw.
You should calculate for whole numbers only.

Hello all, two questions... I sent my NEO from Bittrex to the new NEON wallet (0.0.3) and it is not showing a transaction or the NEO. I looked in the NEO blockchain tracker and it shows my account and the transaction is having gone through. Any ideas?

Also, I just found out that you can only send whole NEO coins... But when I sent my coins from Bittrex it shows that I sent xx.6 NEO... When I look in my bittrex wallet there is a 0 balance. Again any ideas?

maybe it needs some comformation first. Also .. did you started the wallet from NPM or installed with the DMG?

Also .. I see .. Block 0 ... that's not correct .. it should be on the latest block .. have you pressed the reload button?

I downloaded it from the link on neo.org this morning and tried redownloading it from the link on reddit. The only refresh button I see is the little arrows that I have hit a lot but it says it is loading the blockchain but nothing happens

yeah that is where I got it from... Tried downloading it a couple of times. running on windows 10. But even the internet wallet doesn't show anything when I put my private key in... not sure what I need to do.

hmm then I don't know .. I have the mac version and that works

Check your wallet address on neotracker.io
Do a search on the addrs and see If your NEO's are there if so its just a software problem.
Then you already assured your NEO's aren't gone and you only have to fix you software problem.

@mikiki203 this is due to bittrex, not related to NEON: see this https://github.com/CityOfZion/neon-wallet/issues/55

.. I'm so tired of this problems at the moment that I will end up creating a new exchange.

@cpascariello Yeah, it is showing up on there. Not sure what is happening but at least I know its not lost. @canesin have you heard of anyone getting those back? That is like 10€ they just took from me...

no, I lost some to in the process! :S

I lost .9 NEO trying to do a 2 NEO test withdrawal. You should put a
warning in the wallet about this, because Bittrex's warning isn't obvious.

@martythekid we have no connection with bittrex.. this is completely unrelated to neon

Hi everyone,

Did anyone solve the case of the "ZERO" balance? I have the same issue. Before I saw the amount, now it's suddenly disappeared to ZERO.

Some said to download the new 0.0.3c version - but then I don't see it on the NEO website. https://github.com/CityOfZion/neon-wallet/releases/tag/0.0.3c

I only see the Windows downloadable file at the bottom for 0.0.3 version. I dont know how to install the "0.0.3c" version. Could anyone advise?

7jai, that's the one I downloaded: "Windows.Neon.Setup.0.0.3.exe". No problems so far.

@Trauzki - thanks for your reply. That's the version i downloaded again and am currently using... but still nothing :( What does your "Block" say at the top right corner? Mine says "NaN", but not sure what means...

I'm sorry for your losses guys. But I honestly think the Bittrex's warnings are very clear.
"The NEO asset is not divisible. Please withdraw only whole numbers. Any fractions will be discarded.
For example, if you withdraw 100.23 NEO, you will only receive 100 NEO."

@7jai Block 1248563 Version 0.0.3 Running on MainNet

@Trauzki - Thanks for confirming. I think that's the issue. My Block shows "NaN" (which I have no idea what that means). I remember that in order to have it updated, I should see numbers like what you see in your Block description.

Do you see "Running on MainNet" ?
Was it working before? Try reinstalling or check if your firewall is not preventing your wallet to sync.

And make sure you keep your Private Key safe. Don't store it online or on your email. In case you do, you should split the PK's characters or try to disguise it in a way only you can put together/understand.

@Trauzki - I fixed it! So basically I was using my work network (which has firewall protection, as per what you just mentioned). So that's why it was not updating my balance! So I took it off my work network, and used my mobile data to tether. Tried it again and poof it works!

Thanks so much for your quick responses @Trauzki . We should all be lucky to have people like you on this board!!
