Issue
Nemo Desktop icon size always reset to "Normal" on boot.

Steps to reproduce
I changed the "Icon Size" to Small from "Customize" menu

Expected behaviour
Icon size settings will be remembered

It's related to "Ignore per-folder view preferences" setting. If I disabled that settings from "File Management Preferences"->"Behavior" tab nemo remember the desktop icon size. Otherwise completely ignore the icon size setting from Desktop->Customize.

Good on you for tracking it down, nicely done. Perhaps Nemo can create an exception for the desktop. Seems there is a code assumption setting it to default icon view size if ignoring view metadata. Zoom levels. Browsing code through phone, unable to test anything.
