Nano-node: Sync NOT working

Its not about being slow its about not working at all. Im still almost the same block number after days and it is NOT syncing. (around 200 000 / 4 000 000) I tried on two computers.

We need a way to send raiblocks without syncing because the sync and wallet is completely broken.

Is "The network connection was aborted by the local system" indicative of firewall issues?

Last version (9.0) and windows 10 on one computer, mac on another computer, both not working. I checked firewall settings and it was fine.

I finally managed to sync by downloading the data file from the internet. But the wallet is unable to sync from scratch. The syncing of last blocks seem to work fine the problem is with some block near 200 000 or 300 000.

Mine seems to be stuck on "Synchronizing, Block 2372220 (2377968)", although the downloaded blocks count does grow albeit slowly. The "block count" is not going up, and it seems wrong that it would be a smaller number than the count of downloaded blocks.
If I kill rai_wallet and restart it, the counts seem to increase somewhat, and sometimes it will say it's "Running" rather than synchronizing, but it still doesn't see a 4 day old pending transaction to my wallet, nor recognise the block hash if I paste it into the Block Viewer.

The block count is stuck and the blocks downloaded increase only a little over time (around 1-5 every 10 seconds)

I've unlocked my wallet. Here are the values from

=> time passed + 382s
=> blocks downloaded + 442
=> block count +28

I don't think I will be able to work with RaiBlocks any time soon if my wallet continues to sync like this, will I?

What's puzzling me is, that my wallet seems to be connected only with peers that are on version 5 or lower. Or does net version not necessarily correspond with the wallet version?

I've registered with the web wallet but it seems that there is no way to import the seed of my desktop wallet. Am I missing something?

Hey Nic, I had exactly the same problem, stuck to around 300000 for days and not syncing.
I also tried the web wallet but no way to import a seed.

The only way i could solve the issue is by manually downloading the ledger and replacing the data file by the downloaded file. Its explained here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RaiBlocks/wiki/index

WARNING: save your seed before you replace the data file because it will overwrite your seed and account. Then you will jump to block ~4500000 and only need to sync the last blocks (which will work better). After that just reimport your seed in your wallet.

Then you can look here to know the block count: https://www.raiblocks.club/ when you reach near that number, restart raiblock wallet and it should sign-receive your pending XRB.

Personally, after it was resolved, i sold all my raiblocks because i didnt want to deal with a wallet that may not be able to sync at one point.

Also i would suggest avoiding the web wallet (raiwallet.com) for these reasons:

1. It is third party and not official
2. It uses both client-server code when most web wallet are client only (for privacy/security reasons)
3. The code of the server is not published and unknown
4. There is no way to download the github code and run it yourself because it requires the server and they don't give the source code of it.
5. There seem to be some confidential data sent to the server according to a thread, the seed or ciphered seed. It may be ciphered in an unsecure way. But this need to be confirmed
6. There is only 1 contributor to the github project.
7. The 1 contributor has no email or link to public social media profile so no way to know who it truly is.

So try to avoid using it for now because there are so many reasons it could be a scam.

Whenever my computer goes to sleep I come back and the wallet is stuck. I have to reopen the wallet to make things work again.

@cryptocode alas, I'm now in the permanently stuck position of (761) so I can't get the problem to go away then reappear until I take a database from somebody else and replace mine.

My wallet is now syncing, after manually downloading the ladger, but the blocks are coming in from the network faster than they are verified.
