You can disable the version check in the settings.

I think this issue should be resolved once the auto-update-backend has been informed that there is a new version 1.3.1 :thinking:

The problem should be fixed now. If not, please let me know

@Krzmbrzl still happening

Still happening indeed.

Yes the problem is that we "fixed" the issue for snapshot releases, but we obviously the RC is not a snapshot release.
The issue won't exist in the released 1.3.1 though as then we can update the mainline update backend logic accordingly (which we can't do right now as otherwise everyone with 1.3.0 would get an update prompt for 1.3.1 which doesn't exist yet).

If I have the time though I'll rewrite the logic in the backend to do a proper version comparison in order to avoid this issue in the future :)

Now that 1.3.1 is released, the update checker should works as expected. Let me know if it doesn't

The new 1.3.1 windows client seems to think it still needs to be updated to 1.3.1. I attached a screenshot for reference.

EDIT
Sorry for the german screenshot. Additional note: This notice gets displayed when connecting AND when checking for an update via Help > Check for updates

@davidebeatrici :point_up:

@Techassi the screenshot was taken after I closed this issue, right?

Yes!

@Techassi does the issue persist? We think we fixed the error now :)

@Krzmbrzl yes it seems to be resolved. There is no notice when connecting and "Check for update" reports I am on the latest version.

Great. Thanks for reporting back :)
