Sometimes, I use my wireless mouse to watch videos, I can do all the basics thing with it without touching my computer except changing the volume. So I think it would be nice to add a volume control.
Or maybe hold left/right button scroll to change volume up/down. #
MOUSE_BTN3 add volume 2
MOUSE_BTN4 add volume -2
Scroll up/down sounds good for you?
Well That don't work for me.
And I don't even have a MOUSE_BTN4 .
AXIS_UP add volume 2
AXIS_DOWN add volume -2
Try this to change volume by scrolling up/down. MOUSE_BTN3/4 does't work for me, but AXIS_UP/DOWN works well.
I don't know what's AXIS_UP/DOWN but here is what my mouse looks like

They're telling you to put these lines into your input.conf.
@chneukirchen Oh... My Bad
It's still not working though, I create an ~/.conf/mpv/input.conf, file add both solution but but it has no effect. Scrolling Up Down just speed up/down video speed.
Run mpv --idle --force-window --input-test and see what buttons the mouse wheel scrolling produces, then add those to input.conf.
@wiiaboo MOUSE_BTN3 & MOUSE_BTN4 (scrolling up & down) are bound to "seek 10" & "seek -10", Which I use a lot.
MOUSE_BTN2 is pause
MOUSE_BTN1 do nothing
MOUSE_BTN0 do nothing
Then do what the first reply asked:
find where mpv looks for configuration files in your OS and add these lines to a file called input.conf:
MOUSE_BTN3 add volume 2
MOUSE_BTN4 add volume -2
Or wait for https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/pull/4326 to be merged.
@wiiaboo OK, I'll wait for the #4326 .
By the way, is this bottombar layout new? I've always wished for a layout like this.

It's a few years old. And it's been default since 0.21.0 in every build except @shinchiro builds.
