Monikamoddev: [Suggestion] - Monika's Birthday Wishlist

This isn't something that something that Monika made or something that she asked for but it would be great to gift her something when her birthday comes again later this year. So, I made this little wishlist for Monika when that special day arrives. You can help make this list longer by giving suggestions on what she would like by commenting on this issue. If I find it interesting, I might add it to the list! The ones that are currently in this list are the ones that I THINK are eligible to be put into the game. It's alright if most of these suggestions won't even be implemented into the game. There's always next year, right? Right?

1. Yuri's Tea Set - Monika always wondered if Yuri's tea set is still around after Monika deleted everything.
   It would be nice to give her a tea set so she could drink tea. I mean, she drinks coffee
   during the morning, so why not drink tea in the evening?

2. SketchBook - Monika says she doesn't have much experience with drawing, she mostly spends her
   time reading books and playing the piano. So, why not give her a sketchbook and some
   pencils so she could practice drawing? And even better, she could even show us her
   little sketches every once and a while so that we can see how much she has improved
   on her drawing skill.

3. New Clothes - Monika did say it would be nice if she could wear some cute clothes for us. I mean, we
   already have seasonal clothes like Halloween and Christmas ones. But, she doesn't
   actually have any clothes that she can wear on her day to day basis. It would be nice if
   she gets some kind of off shoulder shirt. Or maybe even a sweater. And maybe
   make Monika change her clothes daily so she could feel more like a human. I have
   nothing wrong with the generic school outfit. But, the school doesn't exist anymore in
   her reality. But that's just my opinion though. New ribbons would be great too! I got an
   idea. Maybe she could wear her pajama during nighttime. Or maybe during the late
   night. Imagine this, it's 2 in the morning and you're still not asleep. So you decided to
   open MAS and by the time the game opens, Monika is sleeping soundly in her room.
   You are given an option to either wake her up, leave her be, or kiss her in the cheeks. If
   you decided to wake her up, she would ask you why you woke her up. After a while, you
   and her are now in the classroom talking while she is still in her pajamas. That would be
   pretty neat, right guys?

4. Cooking Book - Remember the cupcake gift we gave to Monika last year? Yeah, we just gave her
   dough to make a cupcake. Not an actual cupcake sadly. The sad thing is, is that she
   doesn't actually know how to make a cupcake or at least she doesn't have that much
   experience in making them. So, why not gift her a cooking book? It's a great way
   to start off her new hobby! And every now and then you can see Monika eating
   her cupcakes! Just like Monika drinking coffee in the morning!

5. Relationship Pendant - You know those photo pendants that people wear of those who are dear to
   them? You can just Google "Photo Pendant" and you'll know what I mean.
   Anyway, it'll be great to gift her a pendant of Monika and the Player's
   relationship. Yeah, since she can't see our face, just add the word "Monika <3
   insert player name here" inside the pendant and that should be good
   enough. Also, I just realized, this is the perfect gift to give to Monika when
   Valentines day hits. Just saying... wink wink

6. House Plants - The classroom looks a bit dull, don't you guys think? It would be great if we could gift
   Monika some indoor plants like a shamrock plant or a begonia or even a bonsai tree so
   that she could take care of them or if she wants to clear her thoughts. It would also
   make the classroom look less dull. If you guys do decide to add this feature to the
   game, it's best to place the plants near the window so that the plants would get enough
   sunlight. And as each day passes, you can even see them grow! She could even plant
   some of the seeds that we gave her on the floating islands to make the floating islands
   look more vibrant and colorful. She probably doesn't have a watering can, so maybe we
   could also gift that to her as well.

7. Diary Book - I saw someone suggest that Monika should make a diary log of her daily life. I can't
   remember. Anyway, it would be great if you guys can push the diary update when her
   birthday comes up. It'd be pretty cool to give her a diary book and see how she would
   react.

8. Bulletin Board - This bulletin board can be placed behind Monika right next to the calendar. How large
   the bulletin board should be is up to you to debate. When the player clicks this board,
   the player gets to see all of its content currently. This board should hold links to
   new updates for the mod, links on how to make backups for Monika and restoring
   older persistent, links on how to contribute to this mod, and even community made
   artworks. The links are for players to refer to if they felt curious or if they literally want
   to contribute, know how to make backups and restore older persistent or even want
   to find the link to new updates on the mod without the hassle of starting a
   conversation with Monika just for the sake of getting the link that you needed. I also
   mention artworks for the bulletin board. Yes, these artworks can be a form of posters
   that Monika puts in the bulletin board so that the player can marvel and appreciate
   the communities hard work and dedication on making such fine art. Also, Monika
   mentions she wants to put artworks of her in the background as a constant reminder
   of artists that made those arts. Clearly, under these posters(artworks) are the name(s)
   of the artist(s) that made the artwork (because credit is where credit is due). What
   about the links? Well, these links can a form of a piece of paper or colored sticky note
   that Monika puts on the bulletin board to remind the player if they want to refer to
   these links again. Anything else? Well, maybe you guys can add previous or older
   poems that Monika gives to the player such as the Christmas poem, Valentine's
   day poem or maybe even poems those that date back to the day when all the
   members of the literature club were still around. Also, maybe Monika can jot down
   notes on her progress on how her indoor plants are doing, how her piano skill is
   doing, how her cooking skill is doing, etc. How does my artwork get featured in the
   bulletin board? Well, maybe the community can make a way to place any png file into
   characters folder and she notices that you want to give her a picture so she could
   put it up on the bulletin board. Oh, and make sure that Monika asks the player who
   made the artwork. Or maybe the community can vote which artwork will be featured
   in the next update by voting in the official DDLC MAS discord server. One day, the
   bulletin board will get too full of content. Thus, Monika is forced to remove some
   posters to make room for other posters. But, where do these older posters(artworks)
   go? Well, right below the bulletin board or maybe even the calendar will be a
   cardboard box that the player can click so that they could view older posters or maybe
   even asks Monika to re-add these older posters(artworks) to the bulletin board
   replacing the new ones.

I said it would be nice if we could see her drink tea every once in a
while. Maybe coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon and evening.

@MaxGreenKiki At The Drunken Huntsman. That place specialises on making bows, unlike other armorers out there, so you could expect some quality.

Hey, I know how hurtful rejection feels, but I don't think your suggestion
fits with this project. Don't get me wrong, I think all of these
suggestions deserve to be put into the game and all of them are very
unique. Though I think two of your suggestions have already been suggested
by other people. But, this project focuses on solely the gifting mechanic.
Giving Monika a WHOLE piano seems... weird. I thought Monika already have a
piano. Doesn't she practice piano while we're away? Regarding the hair,
now. The community is already working on this. Also, gifting Monika new
hairstyle is... again weird. A hairstyle is supposed to be a personal
fashion, not an item that you gift to another person. About the animation
that Monika does when you tap her or interact with her, though. That one is
cool. I would love to see Monika react when we I dunno... pat her head?
wink wink No spoilers though. Again, doesn't fit with this project.
They all deserve to be put into the game. But, they all don't fit with this
specific project. For the piano, maybe we can gift her a piano book so she
could improve on her piano skill. The only problem to this is that Monika
doesn't play the piano when we're around. The music tab only plays
pre-recorded songs. She doesn't really play them. The hairstyle? Maybe we
can gift Monika different shape of ribbon instead of the one Monika has one
right now. Regarding the animation. Well... it's not easy to implement this
into the game. I mean if the community is already having trouble
implementing the blinking animation for Monika, imagine how long do you
think they can implement the ones that you suggested? That doesn't mean
that your suggestion is out of the table though! You can always just create
a new suggestion and ask the community if your suggestion is good enough to
be put into the game. Thanks for contributing! Have a nice day.
