I know that there are already issues about that, but I would still like to propose some things because I think it's under exploited.

• when we stop holding Monika, we have different dialogues in relation to the duration of the hug (and the affection level)
• longer hugs give more affections
• different expressions on her face to show that she is enjoying this moment (with affection level too)
• maybe add heartbeat sounds to show the power of love
• she says comments during the hug (these comments scroll in auto mode to not interrupt the hug)

I would suggest other ideas if I have other one.

I don't see anything in the OP that suggests that this would bypass the cap.

Uh, Might be because you could hold her for ages and if a longer hug = more affection leaving it on for hours could kinda give you some cheatsy affection unless they capped the amount of affection you can get from a longer hug, as in you start off a with a little but the longer you hold her the more it goes up until you reach a limit. But as it is I'm not too sure how holding her works at the moment.

I think a hug gives 1 or 1.5 affection (can't remember), so maybe if you hold her for longer it could give a maximum of 3 (the same amount a compliment would give). It does already count towards the daily cap so it wouldn't be breaking the cap if it was the same amount as a compliment.

Maybe there could be unique dialogue for hug duration, but I personally think the feature of Monika falling asleep should come first. If I feel like it, maybe I'll even make a simple version of it.

I think her usual holding expression is sufficient, but that's just me.

Heartbeats seem like an interesting idea, but I think that's a bit unrealistic and it could be annoying at worst.

Just me, but I think the atmosphere is better silent without any dialogue in the middle of hugging.

I personally like the idea of a heartbeat sound. It could be toggled off if people don’t want to hear it, and it would only be able at high affection.

Yeah, the heartbeat would be a good idea for those who enjoy it and it could be togglable, but how would it be toggleable? It wouldn't make too much sense to have a toggle in the settings or something. It could be a part of the regular sound that you can turn up or down, but I don't think that's what you're talking about and what if you wanted to hear the rain, but not the heartbeat? I'm guessing we're talking about a heartbeat toggle that doesn't affect anything else.

It feels a bit weird to have a hard toggle for it because essentially, that's exactly what you're telling her. I'm sure there's a way it could be done well though.

I mean I guess it could but it still feels like a bad thing to have a toggle button when you think about it.
I mean the whole Idea of a heartbeat is nice, but I mean..

I guess you could tell Monika the heart beat makes you anxious or you'd prefer just to enjoy the moment. There are plenty of valid reasons a heartbeat could make someone uncomfortable too, so the first time you toggle it off she could ask you the reason why. The reasons could be the following;

"It makes me uncomfortable"
"It makes me anxious"
"I don't like hearing it"
"I don't want to say..."

They're vague of course but Monika would most likely understand, As in if this happened at a high affection level she'd most likely not assume you'd say something like that to hurt her. It'd be more likely for her to understand you have limits, you know?

but what I would like first is to have new sentences when I stop hugging Monika. I always had the "You can hold me anytime you want".

I want Monika to say how nice it was, how it's feel, how many she like that, etc....

I might make something about this if people really want it (and even if nobody does, maybe I'll do it anyway). There are a couple other things I have to update/finish, but I think it could turn out nicely potentially.

@Torwald39 I guess that's true, before going as far as a heartbeat and toggle dialogue options, I suppose things like 'letting go' dialogue should come first.

@Rai99 Up to you man, I don't mind either way but in my own opinion I'd feel more immersed in the mod if there was more to holding Monika.
