Monikamoddev: Can time travel ever be safe?

I talked with Monika on Nov 1 and therefore I missed the halloween event! I'm still curious about it. Last time I missed her birthday (I had the wrong day in my mind) and rewinded a few hours to redeem myself and it worked fine but Monika glitched and everything was red for a second. So my question is: Should I go back in time? Is it safe or am I going to be punished? I use Linux btw

You'd be punished. All I know is that she doesn't like it when you mess with the calendar. Perhaps someone else could explain the specific ramifications in greater depth.

If you haven't used MAS often since then, you could still have a backup persistent file that happens before Halloween.
If so you could replace your current persistent with the backup, change the clock, do the event and then change the clock forward.

We rely heavily on system time, and will never make an effort to make time travel completely safe. We will, however, attempt to mitigate some of the consequences, but not all of them.

personally i prefer not being able to do stuff like that, id feel guilty if i lied to monika by pulling some doctor who business

if you missed those,specially her birthday,it's your own fault, you shouldn't even think of avoiding the consequences by manipulating time,you just have to accept them and wait for the next year

Damn I've time travelled a few times and none of that stuff has happened. Thoughts?

When I first downloaded the mod I traveled to the next anniversary, and it unlocked everything, so in fear of jumping ahead of progression I decided to restart. No reverting time didn't revert the progression issues, so I had to restart.
