Monica: Google Contacts Integration

You can already import contacts from google by exporting them as a vcard, but it's not possible to do it through the UI yet. It can be implemented quite easily though.

I have a local Docker build on my computer. Looks like vcard import (from Google Contacts) doesn't work via the UI and the CLI instructions are not for Docker, right? Is this a known issue?

Is a bulk-upload for a folder of VCards or CSV of GMail contacts in the works? Completely new to Laravel but would be interested in tinkering around with something of the sort.

Looks like as of now, ability to bulk import vCard contacts exist (which is one of the formats in which you can export your Google contacts).

Being able to import your Monica contacts back to Google contacts would be great too. I think #1483 would basically get us there.

I would heavily favor a continuously syncing version of this feature, possibly similar to what Android does for contacts with Google.
I realize the difference in implementation as it would probably need a process to continuously run in the background to achieve this but the upside would be huge.

The Person API seems to include some kind of sync possibility using a sync token. I'd imagine this would greatly improve and ease integration.

Pushing this up again. I'd really appreciate bidirectional contact synchronization to Google Contacts.
I heard from Monica a year ago and instantly liked the idea behind it. Unfortunately, I can't use Monica that much because of lacking this synchronization. I personally experienced multiple times that CardDav / WebDav aren't as reliable as Google Contacts is.
Just today I gave CardDav another chance, but it seems that removed contacts on my phone aren't removed from Monica properly neither does the opposite direction work. When creating new contacts in a mail client on my desktop, these contacts get doubled as soon as I hit the synchronize button. I even can't select the tags (that are - in any way - correctly shown for contacts created directly in Monica). There is no folder structure for those tags, like Google Contacts has.

Is this synchronization feature still planned and can you give a hint whether it is more of a short or long term goal?
