Hmm, I just tried firefox 24 on android 4.3, using this link, which is the test thats live on the site's generator, and wasn't able to replicate the bug - could you go into a bit more detail about version numbers? It would be great to see a jsfiddle/bin/codepen or something, too

Reproducable in both case.

• Keyboard triggered.

+1. Still a problem on Firefox 37.0.2, Android 5.1, Modernizr 2.8.3. Keyboard triggered and see "lebowski" written twice.

+1 Firefox 41 on Android Lolipop Modernizer 3.0.0 The input field is visible and lebowskilebowski bellow it. Keyboard get triggered by default as its the first element on the page.

Does that fix the issue? Its commit is older than 6 months (even though the PR itself is pretty recent), but I believe it is still valid since the code for this feature hasn't changed
