perfect workaround is working for me.

  1. sudo su
  2. root@abcd:/home/user# minikube start --vm-driver=none

Is this unexpected? What driver did you install?

@377123 You may not have installed any driver. If you don't want to install any driver you can use
--vm-driver=none option.

Instructions for interacting with me using PR comments are available here. If you have questions or suggestions related to my behavior, please file an issue against the kubernetes/test-infra repository.

The workaround doesn't work on Windows (or at least my machine). I got this:

"C:\Users\Softw>minikube start

  • minikube v1.6.2 on Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 10.0.18363 Build 18363
  • Automatically selected the '' driver (alternates: [])
X Unable to determine a default driver to use. Try specifying --vm-driver, or see https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/start/

C:\Users\Softw>minikube start --vm-driver=none

  • minikube v1.6.2 on Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 10.0.18363 Build 18363
  • Selecting 'none' driver from user configuration (alternates: [])
X The driver 'none' is not supported on windows

C:\Users\Softw>"
Thoughts?

@TheSoftwareArchitect : this issue was created for CentOS, the none driver is not available for Windows

The issue still not work for windows.. I first get the error as ..

C:\WINDOWS\system32>minikube start

When I try running the below command

C:\WINDOWS\system32>minikube start --vm-driver=none

  • minikube v1.7.3 on Microsoft Windows 10 Home 10.0.18362 Build 18362
  • Using the driver based on user configuration
X The driver '' is not supported on windows

This work with me on my ubuntu 18

minikube start

help, what i can do ?
