I installed microk8s through snap on ubuntu and I get the following error when enabling the dashboard.

@batchu if you enable first dns and then enable the dashboard do you see this? I am thinking that since dns needs to restart some daemons it may be causing some service disruption causing the dashboard to fail.
I am getting same error on CircleCI intermittently @ktsakalozos
i executed sudo microk8s.enable dns storage dashboard
the 2nd time and it went through

add the user multipass to the 'microk8s' group:
sudo usermod -a -G microk8s multipass
The new group will be available on the user's next login.
and then setup microk8s again:
sudo kubernetes-tools/setup-microk8s.sh
you will be able to acces the dashboard now
A fix for this should be on edge (sudo snap install microk8s --classic --edge) and should reach the stable channel along with v1.16.1.
For myself the source of this issue/error turned out to be that the interface name changed so rather than doing:
sudo ufw allow in on cbr0 && sudo ufw allow out on cbr0
Now its:
sudo ufw allow in on cni0 && sudo ufw allow out on cni0
