This would go hand in hand with importing and exporting vaults

How important is it to have different passwords on different vaults? Why not just allow importing multiple seed-phrases.

this is about allowing two separate people to use metamask on the same machine

adding a show of interest here as well. would be nice for teams that want to use metamask for contract deployment and share a mnemonic.

right now the only way to do this is to have to restore from a seed each time I want to switch vaults?

you can import other private keys to an existing vault, if that helps at all

This could be cool for the option of a "duress wallet" that I just learned about. If someone is trying to demand the passphrase out of you, you can give an alternate one that leads to a wallet, but not your primary one.
