Material-ui: Anything equivalent to the Search Box?

I'm mainly look for that same styling. The box, box-shadow, placeholder.

I could probably roll my own, but kinda feel like this search box is a fundamental element of Material Design and should be included in material-ui. Either way, thanks for the reply and all the work on this project. I simply love all of the architecture and design decisions!

Do you mean with the icons or the purpose of searching?

We have http://www.material-ui.com/#/components/auto-complete that can be used for search, no input with icons yet but should be trivial to do with CSS.

We are currently working on a new major version and limiting work to only bug fixes on the current one, try opening a PR to the next branch if you ever work this search field, we would be glad to review it.

Hello so I have this result

So I made a gist even if it's not perfect to save time of next designers trying to figure out how implementing search box and maybe it'll give tips to use it inside the framework.
Note that the dependencies are : material-ui@next (v1-alpha right now), react-jss and mdi-react obviously you gotta adapt the code to yours dependencies.
