Material-ui: [AutoComplete] not working properly on mobile browsers

Problem description

When testing the components demo page for autocomplete, the example with filter does not work at all, the simple autocomplete opens the suggestions box out of place and have to scroll to see it

Steps to reproduce

• On mobile browser, browse to http://www.material-ui.com/#/components/auto-complete
• test the different examples
• behaviour is not as expected

We are having the same issue on safari and chrome iPhone 6.

Also seeing this on iPhone 6 Plus, iOS Safari 10.0.1.

Has there been any investigation as to the root cause?

a complete fix was on its way, but wasn't merged https://github.com/callemall/material-ui/pull/4638

I'm closing that issue for #3638 as they share the same root cause.
