Mastodon: Feature request: new notification type when a user you interact with changes they profile picture

Hello,

A good part of the population, including me, primarily make usage of its visual memory to remember things. In the context of mastodon this apply to "recognizing other users based on their profile picture". The problem is when a user changes its profile picture, if the user isn't known enough by someone with a visual memory, confusion ensue and the user it not recognized anymore, awkward situations could ensues.

To mitigate this problem, I'm suggesting the following solution: send a notification when a user "with which I interact" changes it's profil pictures.

"with which I interact" could be defined in several ways:

• one on my following
• one on my following or one on my followers
• one on my following or one of the people with who I've been discussing with recently

The first one is obviously the easiest and less "will generate annoyed users" solution.

Of course, like any other notification this one can be disabled. I have no opinion on the opt-in/opt-out when it's introduced.

I want to give more support to this idea. I am dyslexic and names don't really work for me so I have to use avatars to figure out who someone is. I have had this problem a few times with people who I interact with pretty much every day, so a notification like this would be a huge help for me.
