Magnific-popup: Thumbnail navigation

Created on 28 Sep 2013  路  28Comments  路  Source: dimsemenov/Magnific-Popup

I've found yours and this script frescojs.com unbelievably similar, though I find yours much more trustworthy and overall better. There is just one feature I'm missing really, really much, it's the thumbnail navigation (click on some images on the fresco site).
Any chance that this is going to be implemented?

Kind regards, Maxim.

Hello
I also think this is a very interesting feature to make magnific popup more complete.

I needed to myself, so I've made a codepen with thumbnails inside a gallery:

The second codepen only has a difference in the javascript, in case a pagination is needed without thumbnail:

Yes, this would make it a perfect solution. Any news on this?

Would be great to see this feature on magnific-popup. Currently we had to use prettyphoto to have the thumbnail navigation. It just that prettyphoto is not a responsive lightbox.

-1 Negative.

Don't add this. More bloat. Just keep it nice, simple and small. If someone wants to write a plugin if for it, then do that.

+1 (It can be written as a plugin)

How can I write a plugin? I see a "module" system but I think it works only in source , other way you do not have acces to the host object

i have a similar question about that: https://github.com/dimsemenov/Magnific-Popup/issues/628

An optional Thumbnails plugin or module would make Magnific Popup one of the top lightboxes available. PrettyPhoto is great, but it is not responsive. Many others aren't trustworthy or are bloated. This would be a great feature to have available.

@gyduxa based on your code , I started working on bit more enhanced version with Slick slider but I am stuck here.
