Duplicate of #1591?

Also, this is not only a warning, it breaks my build. I am not able to compile the code.

Is there a schedule for the next release on maven central that works with JDK 10?
Probably this week.
Any update on the release plans?
Yes, probably within a few hours.
We did release 1.16.22, but I recommend waiting for 1.18.0, which will be released very soon.
