Lawnchair: Dark theme in Google search doesn't work with Lawnchair/Lawnfeed 2.0

Created on 1 Dec 2019  路  5Comments  路  Source: LawnchairLauncher/lawnchair

  • Dark theme doesn't work in Google search on desktop, but works fine in app drawer. When I install Lawnfeed 2.0-2383, the theme is broken further and previous searches are grayed out with black lines between.
  • Similar problem reported, but not related to Lawnfeed
  • Bug is from Lawnchair 2.0-2581

Description

Dark theme should also apply to the desktop theme just like the app drawer. Lawnfeed should not disrupt search bar theme.

Expected Behavior

Dark theme on search drop-down after touching search bar in dock

Actual Behavior

Light theme on dropdown, but becomes worse after installing Lawnfeed

Steps to Reproduce

https://photos.app.goo.gl/tVC4FBSoQzaSgbJh6

  1. Install Lawnchair 2.0-2581 (set: settings/theme/style/appearance/dark_theme/enabled)
  2. Tap search bar in home dock. (See that drop-down remains white, but search bar is black).
  3. Install Lawnfeed 2.0-2383 and enable in settings (plugins/show_Google_app_feed).
  4. Tap search bar in home dock. (See that dropdown is still white, but now text is gray and has black lines between recent searches).

Environment

  • Device: Samsung Note 10+ "Verizon"
  • Android version: 9.0
  • Launcher version: 2.0-2581
  • Rom: OneUI 1.5

Same to me, my device info:

  • Device: Redmi K20 Pro
  • Android version: 10
  • Launcher version: 2.0-2589
  • Rom: MIUI 11

@DanGLES3 Thank you very much, installing pixel bridge solved my issue.

To add more information:

  • Device: OnePlus 8T
  • Android: 11
  • Launcher: 2.0-2589
  • Rom: OOS 11.0.1.2.KB05BA

Behaviour is just fine without Lawnfeed. But after installing Lawnfeed something goes wrong.
Rootless Pixel Bridge from the link above works fine.
