Laravel-mix: C9.io npm run errors (ubuntu)

I've been using laravel with the online c9 ide for awhile now which you are most likely familiar with. All of the webpack commands will not work for some reason and this is a huge issue due to the fact this is the life line for compiling our scripts. I’m no webpack expert but hopefully this will get fixed soon. Cheers!

Update node

I had the same problem, and updating node from 4.1.x to 7.5.0 fixed it for me. (I'm now hitting a different error, but hey, that's a fix.)
