Krypto-trading-bot: Getting Started Documentation

Created on 18 Nov 2017  路  10Comments  路  Source: ctubio/Krypto-trading-bot

Hi everyone.

I've installed this bot and it's running, but honestly, it's tough to know how to really get started. If anyone here would be kind enough to get me up and running, I promise that I will update the getting started docs and make a YouTube video on how to operate this bot.

It's in everyone's best interest!

All -- I am new to this bot and saw the demand for documentation.

So, I am documenting my setup, configuration and use via google doc (which I will later convert to MD and merge/PR).

I am running K on a Google Cloud Debian VM.

Here is my documentation for setup: https://docs.google.com/a/stajer.net/document/d/1ch_9_Nd-aVHvCBiLQNBiCxks_U8ihBQxtMMZEB12zKw/edit?usp=sharing

That first step gets you through install and connection to WebUI.

Still to come: configuration and basic usage.

note this is a trading platform, not a trading school, mainly because if everybody trades with the same strategy the game is over; anyway lets keep this open for 21 days :dancer: wish you luck'隆

We were interested in adding new exchanges, just trying to understand the basics of this platform as it's not well documented. That is what I'd like to contribute first then build to new exchanges. I would imagine that everyone makes their own unique adjustments once this software is setup.

the code related to integrate this bot to different exchanges is not in this github project

this github project is just a UI and a quoting engine, it has nothing to do with apis or exchanges

you cannot add more exchanges to this project, but you can modify the UI or the quoting enigne

see the first 2 lines of --help argument or browse the code int his repo

What project manages what exchanges are here? Is it tribeca?

In any case, I think this project needs some better instructions on Getting Started. There have been some thumbs up to this thread and you said you would keep in open for 21 days for us to potentially do this as a community.

The UI is confusing and the "strategies" like AK47, etc are confusing when people first get started.

It seems like you are not open to this, even though this is an open source project.

lets see how many PR we have in 21 days

@michael-stajer - Yes, I'm very much interested in working on this project with you.

We too have setup this software on Google Cloud Debian VM.

I'm actually trying to figure out basic things like how to upgrade the software because there are so many updates to the software.

Guys, i'm not a PRO here, but i can share some of my experience.
Let me know if you need help.
I'm on IRC.
