Karabiner-elements: The installer requires Rosetta 2 installation on M1 Mac even though KE is universal binary

Created on 9 Dec 2020  路  3Comments  路  Source: pqrs-org/Karabiner-Elements

I believe most of users of M1 Mac usually install Rosetta, some people (including me) who are new to use M1 Mac will face the situation that the install process shows the prompt to install Rosetta (and is necessary to proceed). Actually KE is provided with Universal binary (thanks to the developers!), it would be very nice to omit the Rosetta installation.

According to this forum topic, adding the following line under the <installer-script> node to Distribution.xml might work.

<options customize="always" hostArchitectures="x86_64,arm64"/>

Thank you @tekezo. Karabiner Elements was literally the first thing I installed after unboxing my M1 MBA a few minutes ago :-)
