Karabiner-elements: Caps Lock indicator light

Your Mac hardware: MacBook Pro (with Touch Bar)
Your keyboard hardware: MacBook Keyboard
When I am trying to remap the caps lock key, the indicator light isn't remapped although I have Manipulate LED activated

Hi, same problem here. New rMBP with Touch Bar and the remapped caps lock is working but but the caps lock led does not lit up as it is supposed to. Reverting to another profile without the caps lock remapped and the led works again.

macOS version: 10.14 (18A389)

I noticed that the led light is still bound to the caps lock functionality. So when you activate caps lock through another key combination like double shift then the led will light up

Updating to macOS Mojave (perhaps) seems to render the LED of the caps lock key turned off. I've experienced this with version 12.1.0 of Karabiner on older Mac Hardware (iMac and MacBook Pro). iMac has an Apple wired keyboard with numerical pad. MacBook Pro has built-in keyboard. In each case, the LED does not toggle on when caps lock key is pressed.

I have this problem too. The software cannot manipulate the caps lock LED on macOS mojave

I just found and installed the Beta update. It fixed the problem.

Hey Guys, same problem here. MB Pro 2016. Mojave 10.14.1. I dont have Karabiner or anything like it. Does anybody know what solves the LED Problem? Apple Customer Service doesnt know.

@GeorgiosValandis Sorry you're having issues, but if you don't have Karabiner-Elements installed on your MBP then there's not much that this thread can do for you. Hopefully you'll find the other piece of software that's causing you a problem with your keyboard light.

Just installed the beta and it effectively fixed the caps lock led issue.
Thanks guys for spotting the fix in the Beta and thanks to the great devs making this pretty neat piece of software!

Kind of works, but not properly on my Das Keyboard Professional 4 and Mac OSX Mojave. The Beta version now shows the light, and I can toggle it on and off OK, but when I switch to another window it comes on again even if it should be off. The keyboard is still lower case but the light for Caps Lock is permanently on. @kochsebastian

Never mind, this was fixed with a reboot
