Reviewers and authors:
Please avoid lengthy details of difficulties in the review thread. Instead, please create a new issue in the target repository and link to those issues (especially acceptance-blockers) by leaving comments in the review thread below. (For completists: if the target issue tracker is also on GitHub, linking the review thread in the issue or vice versa will create corresponding breadcrumb trails in the link target.)
@dmentipl & @mtremmel, please carry out your review in this issue by updating the checklist below. If you cannot edit the checklist please:

Hello human, I'm @whedon, a robot that can help you with some common editorial tasks. @dmentipl, @mtremmel it looks like you're currently assigned to review this paper :tada:.

If you haven't already, you should seriously consider unsubscribing from GitHub notifications for this (https://github.com/openjournals/joss-reviews) repository. As a reviewer, you're probably currently watching this repository which means for GitHub's default behaviour you will receive notifications (emails) for all reviews ๐ฟ
To fix this do the following two things:
For a list of things I can do to help you, just type:
@whedon commands
For example, to regenerate the paper pdf after making changes in the paper's md or bib files, type:
@whedon generate pdf
PDF failed to compile for issue #2430 with the following error:
Can't find any papers to compile :-(
@whedon generate pdf from branch joss-paper
Attempting PDF compilation from custom branch joss-paper. Reticulating splines etc...

All of my comments have been addressed. I'm happy to accept!
Thanks @dmentipl!
Pinging @mtremmel!
I know that you said that you needed a few weeks so no rush, just wanted to keep this on your radar! Let me know if you have any questions during the review.
All of my comments have been addressed and I am happy to accept!

@JBorrow: I opened a pull request with some edits for the .bib
file - the manuscript otherwise looks great to me. After you merge that, can you build the paper here to make sure you're happy with the proofs (it will be harder to make too many changes later!)
Then, once you're happy with the proofs, can you bump the version number of the code and archive it (using Zenodo or similar). The archive should have the new version number and it should also have exactly the same title and author list as your paper (with Zenodo you can edit the metadata after the DOI is minted).
Finally, please report the new version number and the DOI for the archive in this thread.
Thanks!
@dmentipl, @mtremmel: Thank you very much for your reviews! I really appreciate that time you took and the constructive suggestions you had for the code!!

Thanks all for your effort on this! Really excited to have this out in JOSS.
The new version number is 4.0.4 and the DOI is 10.5281/zenodo.3969268.
@JBorrow: It looks like all we got in that archive is the wheel of the Python package. It should be the full source of the repo instead!
Apologies, I didn't realise that was what was required - how is 10.5281/zenodo.3969353?
@JBorrow: Looks good - thanks!
@whedon set 10.5281/zenodo.3969353 as archive
OK. 10.5281/zenodo.3969353 is the archive.
@whedon set v4.0.4 as version
OK. v4.0.4 is the version.

:wave: @openjournals/joss-eics, this paper is ready to be accepted and published.
Check final proof :point_right: https://github.com/openjournals/joss-papers/pull/1606
If the paper PDF and Crossref deposit XML look good in https://github.com/openjournals/joss-papers/pull/1606, then you can now move forward with accepting the submission by compiling again with the flag deposit=true
e.g.
@whedon accept deposit=true from branch joss-paper
Great, the final proof looks good to me. I'd like to thank all three of you for your work and help on this!
Everything looks good to me!
