I would like to thank you for your amazing work providing an open source system on all those platform. Je pense que tu es francophone donc Merci de ton travail fabuleux.
I think it would be a great idea to have a widget to access particular features of the app from the homepage.
Thanks again!
Unfortunately React Native doesn't currently support widgets, so for now it won't be possible. Let's see if in future version it's supported.
I was interested in this as well. I'm not experienced with react native, but someone who is may take a look at this https://github.com/netbeast/react-native-android-widget-poc
Why are you closing such issues? This is an important feature that will eventually be implementable, not a crazy wish.
I won't be using Joplin because of this and the mobile UI not being good
@thellimist I find your comment a bit out of place. If the UI is not good, how would you improve it? What is wrong with it? Can you be more precise, constructive?
At the end of the day, you can contribute to a project that is free to use and you are just arsh to an open source contributor.

Your questions are good. I can only compare with other projects https://raw.githubusercontent.com/notable/notable/master/resources/comparison/table.png
Check https://workflowy.com/. They have nice UI. Also Simple Note has nice UI. I'm that precise on the feedback. Hope someone who is more qualified would do so.
Android Widget App is really important. It allows homescreen to have selected notes to be displayed
