About 18 months ago, I put call out saying I was no longer able to actively look after this project and that I was looking for collaborators. I took the approach of giving write access here to anyone who asked. Thank you to everyone who did. There have been some brilliant improvements since. However, I held back giving NPM publishing rights for obvious security reasons.
About three weeks ago, Andrew Lisowski (@hipstersmoothie) asked for access and has been working hard on the project since.
I'm going to take a big step and propose that he be given NPM maintainer rights. I hope this will help continue to move the project forward by granting these rights to someone with passion and ability for it.
I've verified Andrew's identity by email. He emailed me from his employers email address and I replied and he replied back.
What I said was that I would open a thread here proposing he be given maintainer rights on NPM. I said I'd leave the thread open for comments for a week. If all was well, I'd grant him maintainer rights on NPM then.
So does anyone have any comment on this proposal - for, against, or neutral? I presume Andrew will be able to answer any questions anyone may have.
I mean, if he wants to do it, you want to step back, and he's verified, then it sounds like a good idea!

Congratulation, Andrew Lisowski (@hipstersmoothie)!
I've added you as a maintainer on NPM.

Thank you for all your work! I am sure the project will continue to go from strength to strength under your guidance!
