Please use the search bar at the top of the page and make sure you are not creating an already submitted issue. Duplicating issues makes it more difficult for everyone to follow. Your issue may have already been solved in the past as well.

Provide a description of the feature request or bug, the more details the better.
If you are experiencing an issue with a tracker, a full enhanced log must be included. Instructions for obtaining logs are here: https://github.com/Jackett/Jackett#troubleshooting

Jackett version: 0.8.1162.0
Mono version (if not using Windows): 5.10.0

Hi so im making use of the aggregated 'all' feature for jackett, and for the most part it works well. However if one or more enabled index sites stop responding, or go offline then this can cause a long delay before the index site times out and moves onto the next index site in the list, this then results in the metadata downloader timing out for the jackett 'all' feed resulting in no matches.

The user would then need to login to jackett, click on the test all button to confirm which index sites are now down, and delete them (would love a disable option) in order to get things working again, and of course if the index site ever came back online the user would then need to re-add the index site.

What i propose is a automated run of tests for enabled index sites, you set the period of say 4 hours and jackett automatically does a background test of all enabled index sites, if any index site is found to be unresponsive then its disabled, if on the next test period it becomes responsive again then it's re-enabled, thus ensuring the 'all' aggregated feed carries on working during index site outages.

This would be neat. It has taken longer than I'd like to admit to realize this is what has caused search from various areas to be slow/unreliable.

For this and other reasons it's not recommended to use the all feed.

A disabled/enable feature was already requested in #661

I'll mark this as enhancement (for implementing a automatic disabled for X hours on failure feature)

Thanks @kaso17

I would love to see this feature as well. I would also add that every 24 hours the automated test check the disabled trackers to see if they can be re-enabled. Perhaps make each (4 hours/24 hours) variables the user can set. This is a manual process I do every other day to keep things running smoothly. thanks devs!

would love to see a disable button on each provider, also if a provider is having issues then auto disable the provider for say 4 hours (setting adjustable) then enable to see if its fixed..

I would like to see this feature.
