Jackett: [enhancement] show tracker ratios

Created on 8 Nov 2016  路  13Comments  路  Source: Jackett/Jackett

Great work on Jackett and the lightning fast updates.

I just wanted to suggest a possible feature where Jackett would periodically scrape your ratio info for each tracker, so you can for example, avoid using a tracker so you can first keep on seeding.
In addition to this, a disable/pause tracker button would be great too.

I agree that it would be a nice feature.
A patch would be welcome.
I would suggest a more generic implementation (not just ratio)
Something like adding a "getTrackerStats()" method returning a list of statistic objects (essentially containing keys (ratio, upload, download, bonus) and corresponding values.

Please open another issue for the disable/pause tracker button describing a little bit more what you're expecting it to do.

Made a quick little concept how it could possibly look. I did not focus on making it look real nice unless the devs would like me to I can. I could design the entire block to accommodate the information better.

Not sure what the status on this enhancement is, but it would be extremely useful going forward. Displaying key stats like ratio, total data uploaded, total downloaded, BP's, etc. would essentially transform Jackett from a search engine / meta indexer to a dashboard, especially if implemented along with with #659

It's a higher entry on one of my TODO list items. But no schedule yet.

My concept was just a quick idea in a tight space, the new table layout will make it a lot more readable for sure.

@ideaprison Your concept was fantastic for when we had the trackers' logos / banners, but you're right, it's now more readable with the table layout since there's more space to work with :)

any news on this? seems like it was being worked on then died 2 years ago

Any update on this?

no one is working on this since Kaso17 (the author of Jackett) stopped contributing a year or more ago.
Low priority right now, as the new c# devs are very busy bringing the base code up to modern specs so its easier to support.
Once the hubbub has settled down, I expect they will be revisiting any old tickets like this one and reviewing/implementing/declining as resources become available.

No worries. Thanks for responding.

@garfield69 Has @kaso17 indicated to you that he might get the chance to come back anytime soon?

the last time kaso17 posted a comment was in July 2019 with
https://github.com/Jackett/Jackett/issues/5586#issuecomment-508591007

kaso17 hasn't done anything on GitHub since that post according to his profile.
