Really dumb request but I was curious. I used this guide to install ALSA (sound control software and utils). Anyways, I followed this guide below:
https://wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/Sound_Setup
And I ran and got this on my iPhone:
`B-Iphone:~/jdk# speaker-test
speaker-test 1.1.9
Playback device is default
Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 1 channels
Using 16 octaves of pink noise
ALSA lib confmisc.c:767:(parse_card) cannot find card '0'

ALSA lib pcm.c:2564:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default
Playback open error: -2,No such file or directory`
Not a big deal this doesn鈥檛 work. Just wanted to document it.
Seems like there is no sound card driver support.
I am using an iPad gen 6, and I get the following:
iPad:# aplay -l
aplay: device_list:272: no soundcards found...
Would be awesome if this can be done for purpose of making the iPad a viable sound synthesis tool with SuperCollider etc
+1 would be awesome to be able to play audio. Could use command line audio players etc.
