I can reproduce this for an iPhone X. This is no problem on the iPad Pro 10,5.

After discussion with @jancborchardt we decided to turn this whole button into blue (or the theming-color) and make the plus white (basically inverted the current behavior) 🙈

So you think changing the color solves the problem that the button is floating elsewhere on the screen instead of in the Tabbar?
