Description:

Can't able to build on windows using command "ionic cordova build android" or "cordova build android"

Steps to Reproduce:

For the first time build

1. Run command ionic cordova build android
2. Wait for few 20-30 seconds and interrupt command by ctrl+c key
3. Re run command ionic cordova build android or cordova build android

Just delete /home/sharad/.gradle/wrapper/dists/gradle-4.2.1-bin/dajvke9o8kmaxbu0kc5gcgeju/gradle-4.2.1-bin.zip.

Its happening because your gradle zip file has not downloaded correctly delete it and run the command again.

Delete the gradle-3.3 from your local computer the location is provided into the error message..!

Step : 2
Run the command again. it will download the gradle-3.3 again wait while moments

The deleting didn't help in my case. What did was to manually go to the directory, and get the necessary gradle zip with:

wget https://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-5.2.1-bin.zip

Once it was there it build. Why it didn't work automatically is beyond me. It is for a second user account on a pc which already had the package installed so maybe that's somehow related?

I try with the mentioned solution but without success, deleting folders in the directory etc... but the error is still the same in this version

Hey @southpole01 and @etekumoses you can find the correct file name and location in the error log in terminal when this exception occurs.

I am using Mac and I've found it under User. It is hidden folder, you can use ⌘+⇧+. to see hidden folder (.gradle is the file name).
I've deleted this and let the new one to be downloaded after hitting run.
The best for me is to first run commands ./gradlew clean and then ./gradlew build under android directory.

This is because the file is corrupted so delete the existing gradle file
.grade/wrapper/dist will be a hidden file and there will be several such folders in project,android folder and your home

Find the folder and delete the corrupted file and run it
