Instagram-private-api: Is this api legal ?

This is just perfect but I want to make an app on play store and app store for instagram analytics. Can I use this library to authenticate users and get their data ?

@capslock35 depends of the point of view. Did you signed any contract saying that you shouldn't use this API? If you didn't, is not. If you did, is.

Technically isn't illegal, but your use depends of an account that if you read the terms, maybe you are violating the contract (I'm not sure if there is something about it there).

This is very illegal API from the Facebook TOS perspective, people are getting sued(receiving cease and desist letters) for creating such API's or creating automation services with this API

Real example was this guy API https://github.com/mgp25, his IG API repo was removed after request(legal paperwork and etc) from the FB

At this point of time, i think FB should consider making this lib their official api.
