__Current behavior:__ Only unencrypted UDP data transfer is possible
__Desired behavior:__ Have TLS encryption over UDP
__Use case:__ Possibility to securely send UDP data over the Internet (IoT for instance).

There can be many people who rely on the UDP data source, so give them security, too. One use case comes to my mind right away, the Proxmox hypervisor uses UDP to transfer metrics: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/External_Metric_Server
