First Windows is not supported, second python 3 is the preferred python version, try with that.
Thk U!
If that doesn't work, I suggest checking out this Stack Overflow post. This worked for me on Windows (using Python 3.5)
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/26505882/unable-to-install-sasl-0-1-3-python-package-on-windows-machine/35985464#35985464?newreg=7146fc4d2bc1435b8135a3140e478c40
I am getting the same error and I have python 3.5 and also the link provided here is not worth as their is another link in it to install which is not working. please help
I am using a 32bit Windows 7 PC, it's belone to my company not mine. I was trying to build a superset project on this pc, but facing the same problem. I have VS 2012, and with cl.exe in the C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual Studio 11.0VCbin, but still not work. Please help! Or I should just use a Linux server to do this.
Thanks! use python 3.6,that's worked.
but I use linux python3.5.2 also meet this ptoblem

Note that currently we only build and run continuous integration tests against 2.7 and 3.4.
If the community wants to use 3.5 (and mayyyybe 3.6) I'd be willing to add 3.5 to accept a PR that does that, and fixes 3.5 build issues if any.
I could setup superset env (debug mode) on Windows 8.1
The following articles were especially useful for the errors I faced.
