I3: Make i3 gaps official

Please make i3 gaps official. unofficial version of i3 with gaps is not available for every distribution. Moreover, compiling that from source is not a viable option for older hardware . It would be great if we get gaps functionality from official version.

i3 with gaps is not available for every distribution

So package it yourself or ask the distribution maintainers to package it. There's no reason why a fork cannot have its own package. That's a shortcoming of the distribution, not of the fact that it's a separate repository.

i3-gaps is not and will never be merged into i3 for multiple reasons that I have described many times before.
