Hi!
Hyper is very slow on startup and can sometimes take up to 5-6 seconds to start!
Also, when typing commands, I feel like there is a bit of delay between the moment where I press the key and the moment where it actually appears on the screen.
Hyper is beautiful, but it is very much slower than terminator for example.
Is it an electron-related problem? If so, why did you choose Electron?
Is it likely to be fixed in the next versions?
Thanks in advance for all your answers, keep up the good work!
Can't really say much from your description.
There are lots of changes since last release, so you can try to build the latest canary branch (I couldn't find the linux build artifacts on the CI).
Or you can can download the ubuntu artifact from here (my fork, only added github actions to create the build artifact) (excuse the file size, contains all linux artifacts)
I am sorry I really don't have time for testing, I was just looking for answers :)
Any plans about the next release date btw?
Don't know about the release date.
Performance has improved with newer versions of electron and xterm though, which you can try from earlier mentioned link if you want.
Okay thanks!
